At the end of the summer, at the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Fair, a chaotic and exuberant display of summer flowers can be found in the display hall. I love seeing the enormous hollyhocks and zinnias, though, for me, it is a sign that I’ll soon be leaving the island.
